 I have just returned home from a week of vacation where I had no internet access.

 I am a little confused.  You said you were sending a check for $3500, but that is not what I received.  Is what I received the check you sent or is it something totally different?  I received a Qchex.com check for $3000 from [name and address deleted for security purposes] .  I was expecting to find a check for $3500 with your name on it.

 Can you help me understand this?  I have not yet cashed the check because I am unsure of whether this is the right one.

I travelled to south korea for a seminar about a week ago ,so i informed my branch manager in africa to make the payment on my behalf.the check is a form of payment from one of my customers in oklahoma .Simlpy cash the check and send the balance to my manager as i told u earlier.As soon as it clears ,let me know so i can give u the address to ship the flute to.Thanks .

 I'm sorry I didn't reply to you.  I was waiting to hear from you and today discovered your recent emails in my spam folder.

 I went to the Qchex.com web site and entered the tracking code on the check, and the web site said it was not a valid check.  What should I do?

I looked up the payor on the check, on switchboard.com and got a telephone number for him.  I called him and asked if he had any knowledge of the check.  He said he did not.  He verified that the name and address on the check were indeed his.  He also stated that the account number on the check was his, but that the account had been closed due to fraudulent checks being drawn on that account via Qchex.

 I did not consent to paying the sum of $3000.00 to you for a micheal Williams this is indeed fraud on Micheal Williams part

I Have closed [account number deleted for security purposes] due to the Quechex for the amount of $3000.00, $8000.00, and $9000.00 written by Andra Johnson to recieve money from that account.

 I do not know this micheal williams person with whom is doing this for what ever reason and will cooperate with any and all charge that is brought against said person

That should be an error from their web site.Its better you take the check to a bank in your neighbourhood to cash it because it is a valid check paid to me by a client.So take it to the bank to avoid any further delay in the shipment.Thanks for your anticipation.I await your response immediately.

I know that the check is no good.  I know that you are not really interested in buying my flute.  I know that this has been a scam to get my money.

 I have been playing along with you in hopes that the FBI would be interested in pursuing this case.  But, unfortunately there are too many assholes like you out there and the FBI just doesn't have time to take all the complaints that come their way, so they don't have anyone out there to come and arrest you (this time).
